Here at Emerald City, we’re stretching our spotted wings and warming up our little bug legs in anticipation of next month’s Ladybug Girl and the Big Squad Read for the Record event! Last year, almost 2.2 million people participated in Jumpstart’s annual Read for the Record event, and this year we’re hoping to help break that record! On Thursday, October 4th, 2012, we will be joining millions of readers to try and break the record for simultaneously reading one book!
We’re going to be reading Ladybug Girl and the Bug Squad and then doing a Ladybug Girl-themed theatre workshop: games, crafts, and a dance party to bring the book to life!
